mesa salsa co. was founded in santa barbara, ca by mother and daughter anne altamirano and ali altamirano.
the recipe is based off the teachings of ali’s grandmother, marianna. both anne and ali interpreted grandma’s classic “chile” technique in their own way. after 2 years of fine tuning, the ‘mild’ and ‘hot’ had become a staple in not only the altamirano household, but also among family and friends.
mesa salsa co. was founded in hope of sharing a little piece of our family with the santa barbara and surrounding communities.
